| Purely Enchanted... Last night I watched a movie called "Enchanted". There's nothing fancy about this movie, not a very special plot, just a little simple story about a princess from the fairy tale who happened to have come to the "real world", New York City by the curse of her to-marry prince's evil mother... In her search back to fairy tale, she encountered a man who was willing and kind enough to help her, lend her a place to rest, etc....this Princess was so pure, in her world, two people with "True Love's Kiss" are supposed to bond together and live happily ever after, there's no such thing as separation. (then a bunch of stuff happened in the movie) In the end, Princess didn't go back to the fairy tale with her Prince, because she found her real "Prince", which is the man she met in New York... Happily ever after...what a scene. Nowadays, it seems something so difficult, so far from reality...and we are not willing to believe in such thing, so what we call it "fantasy". This not only touched me. It made me stop, just right here, at this point in my life, and I ask myself the very same question. Am I willing to believe that there's such thing as "happily ever after"? Can love really be that simple and pure? I'm now in my 20s and I think back to the time when I was still 16, 17...that's what I believed in. I used to think that one day I will meet my special someone, a person that I'll be with for the rest of my life and we'll just live happily ever after. Has this happen yet? No...and now the question is, am I willing to believe in this and made it happen? Or...can it? I don't know. Let's see. There's too many decisions in life to make. And I'm afraid to make decisions, because it requires giving up and risking...and more. | | |
| Dear all, Haven't updated my blog for some time. Let me post some recent pictures for sharing. Part I - Macau Trip last weekend As Crystal will be leaving Macau for Kingston soon, I decided to visit her last weekend. I arrived there on a Friday afternoon (because I took 1/2 day AL) and it felt great to get off work during lunch hour on a Friday especially when you know that you're going to have fun! Ate lots of different foods and visited 4-5 casinos during those 2 days. The little surprise is, I won some money in the casino while waiting for my friend who was playing in the casino. Hahahaha....the amount I won was, well, enough to cover all my expenses for the 2 days, nice.
Boarded the ferry to Macau, excited & hungry at the same time.
Dear Crystal had to squish in the crowd in order to get this street food for both of us...thanks Crystal!
Ta ta, yummy all-sorted junk food.... / Having Gelato (mine: mango flavor / Crystal: yogurt flavor)
Wah ha ha, me having both gelatos? Yeah, I eat a lot. =P
This is the famous "water crab congee" Crystal recommended...it is velly yummy!!!
Me & Crystal in front of the big sphere / Don't ask...don't know why I wanted to take a picture with that stone man...
Good view of the Venetian from here. But it looks prettier at night.
This is how the interior of Venetian is....this is only one of the many escalators that get you to the 2nd floor, pretty grand eh? / Virginia pretending she's in Europe or something....haha.
| Picture Time!
Hi everyone. Haven't written any entries in 1.5 months. I have always been wanting to jot down some of my thoughts, but right now that I'm on xanga and have a bit of time to fiddle around, I'd rather show some pictures. Please enjoy. 1. Some recent additions to my belongings, they are all so cute. I guess it's a treat to myself to buy something cute, would feel happier just by looking at them.
Cute litte purse with a panda head shape, stylish isn't it? ($104)
Mario head slippers ($55)
Guess what this is! A cushion? No....it's....
A bag! ($256)
Adorable~ 2. Some cool pictures taken at one of the shops in TST on 1 July 2007. First time seeing such a large scale fireworks that night too. It was great to get a whole window view right beside the Victoria Habour and ejoy the fireworks while having dinner.
A table lamp (I guess?) which reflects the shadow of the world map, it slowly rotates around too!
A unique way of creating candle "stands"
A light bulb which looks like a person sitting down & reading a book (I think)
A shelf with 2 hands holding up the glass. =D 3. How about seeing some pictures I took during a recent hiking trip near Tung Chung area? The path wasn't too difficult but it was quite hot that day...and I got sun burn on my face afterwards. I could feel that my face was burning and it turned red a few hours after i finished the hike! (I guess I really shouldn't be too lazy and should put on some sunscreen...)
Note cables and the "'dots" you see far back in the picture...those are cable cars from NongPing360 (after the accident occurred...)
"House on water"
Somehow, this fire extinguisher box looks like one of those coca cola fridges I've seen before.
Classic chinese dessert cold tofufa, a great way to take a rest and replenish after hiking in the sun for a few hours Oki, that's it folks. I promise I'll try to find a good time and write an entry, at least to give you some updates on how I'm doing these days and now that I've been back to HK for over a year, ok?
| 8.5 Hours before departure from the HK Airport A few things to jot down before I get some rest "tonight" 1) Just received the admended appraisal mark & comments from my supervisor. After the admendment, my mark dropped a bit. But anyway, it's a positive change from the previous appraisal cycle. Still some areas to work on though. Could I reach their expectation in one year's time? Let's hope so! 2) Normally, I'd feel excited and hyper right before a trip is about to begin. Especially when I'm travelling to Japan, a place that i've longed for. However, after packing my luggage, I now need to resume some office work. Target to complete it before 3am so I can get about 4 hours of sleep before tmr morning (4hr = 1 cycle = good rest? hehe) Add oil VG, you are just 8..5 hours away from leaving HK for a memorable trip. ^_^ 3) Oh, and I realized that I've been back to HK for about a year now. How have things changed? Is this really a place I'd like to stay for good, to develop my career and family? To be honest, I haven't given this much thought. Day in day out, I just try to handle things at work and other trivial personal matters. It's about time I visit this issue and seriously think about it, shall I? Ok, back to my presentation slides! | | |
